Dentaid is a registered charity No:1075826, its aim is to bring relief to thousands of children and adults in the developing world where tooth decay is rife, abcesses can cause death, and DIY extractions are commonplace.Dental equipment donated by Dentists in the UK is refurbished in Dentaids workshops and then given to Dentists and Hospitals who desperately need it overseas.

One of our clients, a local Dentist Dr Margaret Barrault has single handedly raised over £ 1200 funds and surgery equipment has been renovated in the Dentaid workshop. Dr Barrault and her husband, Jean-Claude have special interest in a project at KAGANDO HOSPITAL in UGANDA. Both Margaret and her husband have worked very hard to raise funds and Jean-Claude will himself be flying out to install the equipment this June.

The equipment has as said before been renovated, dismantled and strapped to a palate. Special freight boxes have been constructed by a firm in Reading. The latest stroke of good fortune was the offer of free air freight space to Entebbe. The pilot Joe Roy of DAS Air Cargo will also take Margarets husband, Jean-Claude and he will install the equipment on site. As you can see from the photographs the facilities are very poor, materials non existent. This project which Dr Barrault and her husband have dedicated so much time to needs further support.

Donations may be made ,or any materials or dental equipment would be gratefully received . The concept of the project is simple, a heartfelt promise to share skills, give friendship, support and time to those who have so little.
